HAPPY NATIONAL SINGLE PARENT DAY! Who knew this was a thing?!?! I certainly did not but I definitely think it deserves to be celebrated!! This is by far the HARDEST job I have ever had. Today is #NationalSingleParentDay Both going through pregnancy and raising a little human as a single parent is hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It definitely has not been all sunshine and roses but it has been and continues to be the most rewarding thing of my life. To think that Veya is my #1 fan and I’m her person is the best feeling in the entire world. Yes it’s tiring and yes it’s a lot of work but it’s all worth it when I see how happy she is and what an amazing little girl she’s becoming. And she’s all mine When I see her amazing little personality growing or when someone tells me what a well behaved baby she is, I get to take credit for that. She’s literally a mini me and even though we’ve gone through some rough times, I wouldn’t have changed anything about our situation. Being a single parent has a bad stigma that goes along with it, but honestly it’s my biggest achievement and it’s made me a heck of a lot stronger and motivated. Do I aspire to be a single parent for the rest of my life? Not ideally haha but Veya has changed my way of thinking, my priorities and my expectations. And for right now, we’ve got some mad girl power happening So shoutout to all my fellow single parents (moms and dads) who are also killing it. Even if we don’t always feel like we are ❤️PS. Having a crazy good support system (both friends and family) have made this journey so much better for me so shoutout to them too but this is my day y’all
