Cucumber Water . Cucumber water is extremely cooling and very handy to have around this time of year. Just cut up your Cucumbers, put in a jar, cover them with water, and sit in the fridge overnight. The Cucumber water on its own tastes so sweet and silky. I add Strawberries because my son likes it better this way. ❤ . Staying hydrated and cooled down with berries and cucumbers from the garden this time of year is really important in my family! Watch very closely for signs of overheating and find shade or fresh water to dip into when you get the feeling to cool off. ☀

Saw this from @theorganicdietitian this week and loved it! So often we only look at #anxiety as a reaction to situations happening in our lives: Job loss. Breakup. Financial problems. But the truth is we could be living completely happy, fulfilling lives and STILL suffer from high anxiety... and not know why?! Maybe it’s the ☕️, , and you consume. Or mold in your home you don’t even know is there. Or maybe you’ve been eating something SEEMINGLY HEALTHY but it doesn’t agree with your body. And now your anxiety is through the roof and you need answers! Anxiety comes from and shows up in MANY forms. If you can’t find a solution for how you’re feeling, it’s time to get answers, not excuses or distractions.

I get a lot of questions about what I eat, so here it is.... 1. Simple foods that don’t take a lot of skill. I’m really not a cook, I just like #cleanfood. 2. I love carbs. I don’t eat packaged bread, but give me a fresh loaf and I’ll devour it. 3. #Vegetarian. Stopped eating animal meat almost 30 years ago. My parents overcooked it and I just couldn’t eat it. I don’t miss it or crave it. I’m not grossed out if other people eat it. 4. Hate mushrooms + stinky cheese. Obsessed w cilantro + mango. 5. I’d eat #avocadotoast, anything peanut butter/banana + grain/veg bowls every day. Now I just need someone to make it all for me. 6. I eat dark chocolate everyday. Keeps me sane.‍♀️ 7. I do eat; ice cream, cookies, cake, chips, fries + pizza. Much to people’s disbelief. That’s it. What are your go-tos? Faves? Dislikes? I’d love to know. #naturopath #onebowl #simplefood

. ⁣ An environment is your space (physical or mental). Your environment is what surrounds you. That could be people, situations, relationships, home-life, work-life, etc. Your surroundings often set the tone for your days. An example; if you absolutely hate your job, you're not going to be in a positive headspace the days you work. That's pretty simple to understand. In addition, you are unlikely to heal that distaste you have for your job if you stay because in theory it is the job causing your unhappiness in the first place.⁣ ⁣ . ⁣ I believe this means clouded vision, stress, exhaustion, and other mental burdens. Toxic environments exhaust the brain. When the brain is exhausted, it's hard to get anything done.⁣ ⁣ Your environment is more important than you think. Your environment determines what kind of life you’re going to live, what kind of people you’ll attract and what kind of expectations and standards you’ll set for yourself and others.⁣ ⁣ I’ve found removing myself from toxic situations and relationships had a direct correlation with my increased levels of happiness. The more positive my atmosphere, the more positive my thoughts become. The more positive my thoughts, the easier my days and more creative I tend to be. And once I am in a creative headspace, I'm pretty unstoppable. ⁣ ⁣ I would think the key to healing in these situations is first to remove yourself from your environment since that toxic environment is the same place you “got sick”. This step sounds easier than it is; however, to know where one got sick, you have to evaluate where things went wrong. ⁣ ⁣ And sometimes we think that we can’t change our environment or it’s too late to find a new one, but it’s NEVER too late.⁣ ⁣ It’s never too late to walk away from any environment that doesn’t nourish your mind, body, heart and soul.⁣ ⁣ ✨ ’ . ✨⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ Happy Saturday y’all!
