I’m sorry white stemmed silverbeet, but there’s a new beet love in my life and it’s this peppermint beauty

It’s so difficult (for me at least) to photograph the dark dahlias - it looks like the bouquet has two dark eyes... Once again, I wish I was a better photographer as I don’t think the photo really reflects the beauty of the bouquet. #fuglebaekgaardblomster #ecofriendlyflowers #nopesticides #locallygrown #grownnnotflown #flowerfarmer #blomsterbonde #støtdedanskeblomsterbønder

Building trellises out of whatever natural materials are available is a good way to bring down costs. I'm thankful to live in a place filled with trees, bushes, and bamboo that provide a steady supply of branches for structures. All I have to buy is twine. This simple tomato trellis is supporting about 24 plants. . . . #tomato #neptunetomato #tomatoplant #fromseed #trellis #organic #floridagardening #northfloridagardening #springgarden #sustainablefood #deepmulch #backtoedengarden #homesteading #homestead #nopesticides #vegan #vegangarden #whatveganseat #plantbased #growyourownfood #growyourown #permaculture #gardens

Gold Lisianthus FTW!!! I took a chance at growing these this year and I’m so glad I did. This is my first cut flower garden. I have up to 36inch stem length and up to 9 blooms on some stems! All without a single drop of chemicals. No fertilizers or pesticides. Just time, water, compost and sweet talkin ☺️. Our 2020 garden will have every color I can get my hands on! This one contains some of my favourites, for example snapdragon Potomac Lavender. It’s excellent for cutting, beautiful in the field and the bumble bees love it #fuglebaekgaardblomster #bouquet #growyourown #ecofriendlyflowers #nopesticides

My little backyard garden is at its peak in July. I just transplanted my autumn supply of chards, lettuce, beetroots, endive and radicchio in the raised beds. Consuming more fresh and organic vegetables directly from the garden is one of the most important things we can do to stay healthy, reduce plastic and spend less. We are so satisfied with the work we did in our garden. We turned a standard and pretty boring lawn in a unique, rich in biodiversity and chemical free space for worms, insects and birds. This is our little change. . . . . . #backyardgarden #organicgardening #organicveggies #eatwhatyougrow #growsomething #growyourownfood #gyo #simplelife #urbangarden #ortobio #moestuin #potagergarden #urbangardenrepublic #ukgarden #nopesticides #thingsthamakemehappy #homestead #offgridliving #smallgarden #raisedbedgarden #smallholding #growfoodnotlawns

Bees work hard to make honey. A beevisits 50 to 100 flowers per trip to take nectar and pollen to the hive. . Bees use their honey as an energy source for the hive. Depending on the weather, a hive might use over 20 kilograms (44 pounds) of honey over a single winter. . Unfortunately bees are dissapearing. Researchers from the University of Maryland reported this week that about 40% of the US' honey bee colonies died between October 2018 and April 2019 - the highest winter loss in 13 years. . A recent study published in the journal Nature Communications found similar problems in the UK; one-third of 353 wild bee and hoverfly species there experienced declines between 1980 and 2013. . The loss of insects is a dire threat - one that could trigger a catastrophic collapse of Earth's ecosystems. . Here is what we can do: Let Your Lawn Get Back To Its Roots. Let your yard go wild. Just say No to Pesticides and Herbicides. Pesticides and herbicides contain chemicals that are very harmful to bees and other beneficial insects Keep a Bee Garden. Bees like flowers, too.. The warm weather we’re having this winter is throwing my brassicas into wanting to flower. The ole ‘I’ll come back for you guys later’ number isn’t cutting the mustard in this weather. They still taste great and the colour is spectacular. Plus when the heads aren’t so tight it makes it easier to see if I’m about to eat a slug so really it’s a win all round
