Sending easy vibes your way this week to all those who are either: beginning fieldwork for summer entering the infamous week 10 of your fieldwork (where the more you know, the more you don’t know). those facing a new a diagnosis and going in with absolutely no idea what interventions to pull out. your reminisce of desiring to go back to the first day of fieldwork instead of studying for the boards Just know blindness is actually an amazing thing; going in naive allows for creativity and new ideas about how to do our profession. It allows for us to explore rather than travel the path too familiar. This is why I LOVE taking on students; I learn so much from their untainted perspective. Their drive,passion and purpose. Their willingness to try something new. Go in blind, proudly. You’re amazing.

Happy Occupational Therapy Month! To my fellow OTs, COTAs, OTS...keep empowering and inspiring others to live their best life that is meaningful to them and helping them to accomplish their goals to be the best they can be. With any occupation or career, there are challenges (believe me I know especially this season for me) but at the end of the day just remember to be the best OT God created you to be! There will be doubts (I still have them after being an OT for almost 13 years )but just remind yourself you have that professional background you went to school for and with every struggle & failure, there is always growth & lessons that come with it. I’m still learning every day and I have to thank my fellow OT colleagues and OT community who has helped me along the way! So go out there and be the best OT you can be because someone needs you!
