I'm a steel/glass person and it's always been a huge challenge to shoot in Oxford. . That said, I've spent more time here, than anywhere else I can remember, so every once in a while I go out and try to show off the amazing architecture we have. . One of these days I might make it to souvenir shop postcard stands..

#ad | Afternoon tea in Oxford, could anything be more quintessentially British than this? Enjoying a cup of dark and opulent Darjeeling amongst scholars and students discussing literature in an old ivy covered inn satisfied all of my expectations of this little town. The tea was sharp like a sword egg and bitter like wood, I had Darjeeling second flush. The three tiers that came were abundantly filled of a variety of savory and sweet munchies. The finger sandwiches varied in flavor, some were quite tasteless, others, like with eggs was surprisingly good. The scones were remarkably big and drier than the ones I’ve had before but I guess that’s what real English scones are like - nevertheless they were yummy. I had one full serving by myself of the delicous raspberry jam, the British just do them differently, I love it with the buttery scone. Clotted cream was not my favorite, it was much heavier than regular cream and a bit sour. The afternoon tea was 27£ so very affordable having in mind the big portions you get.
