Of course when i got here i was so scared. Getting admission to Portsmouth on its own was a testimony. I had failed Maths again but managed to get in by passing through ICP. It wasn't an easy journey. It wasn't smooth. Psychologically i wasn't fit to do this course because the negative words i heard kept on "ringing". You are not good enough! I was told i will fail and be sent packing home in first year by someone close. First year came and i made it! I was still here. Second year, then third year! I gained confidence to finish what i had started. I wanted to finish. I came with hopes of at least a 2:1. By second year my aim had changed to a first class. The only black girl who graduated in the class of 2018 Electronic Engineering. I mean that is pressure on its own. I never stopped going. Prayer became my food. I would fast and pray so much. I would study so hard. It was a combination. In all this God never left me. All the nights that i cried. No parents here. All the nights He stood with me. Thank you sooo much Father for this. THE only black girl who graduated yesterday in the class of 2018 ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING. AND OH! NOT JUST THAT.....WITH A FIRST CLASS. I AM HUMBLED IS THE WORD. I HAVE CRIED AND STRUGGLED TO POST PICTURES. BUT I FEEL THIS WILL INSPIRE A YOUNG LADY OUT THERE. THATS ALL I WANT THIS TESTIMONY TO DO. : @_through_my_eyes_1

You saw something in me when no one else did. I opted for arts you said do science Liz! You can do it. All along i was listening to what people were saying. But you Mr Danso, stood with me. I failed so many times yet you got teachers to still teach me. You paid money for resitting each time. And the outcomes were terrible. I wondered why you wouldn't let me be. Why you kept pushing. Why you wont leave your only daughter to wallow in her failures. You gave the options and i chose to go with my guts and you said Yes you will make it. People discouraged you to stop paying but you said you were investing in me . The only person who stood with me. The day you left me in Portsmouth i cried and told you "I WILL MAKE YOU PROUD" and all these pictures show the excitement on your face. You are the best father that God gave me. All the times i thought you were being too hard, you knew what you were doing. You were ill but made it for my big day without knowing what degree i was getting. (Yes! He got here before i told him) Thank you for believing in me. Thank you so much. For standing with me. Paying despite the bad results. Sticking with me through it all. Your baby got a first class daddy. And this is for YOU! I dedicate all to You Mr Danso (Broken the record in the family)

A week today, i walked on that stage with my head held high. I knew i had come a long way and deserved every bit of joy that i felt in my heart. My family came all the way to support and many watched live on Youtube in Ghana. I am grateful to God first of all for being with me through it all. 1: My family that represented that day! 2: My mama for life! My prayer warrior and cheer leader. She prayed with me and for me all the time. She sent me food all the way from Ghana. She encouraged me each day and we did it Mama. Thank you 3: My brother for life! Full of wisdom. Whenever i needed advice you were there. You saw me cry, laugh and stressed and you told me i would get a first before i did. God bless you Moses.
