First day of light stretching after having Indy(11 days postpartum). Soo needed and this felt amazing. I stretched for 45 minutes yesterday and only did poses that are easy-feel good for me. So sore today tho . I’ll share more of my postpartum workouts as I do them-my biggest thing is to listen and take care of my body.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again - WE LOVE @staceysolomon ❤️ . Reading through her recent posts is like reading through the diary of a new mum - she honestly and openly shares her struggles, her fears and the euphoric highs and the exhausted lows of having a brand new baby. All with a huge dose of reassurance on the side . If you’re a new mum, we couldn’t recommend following Stacey’s journey more. However you are feeling it’s so important to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. . Here at @thepositivebirthcompany we know that support and education in the postpartum period is scant, with some areas of the UK doing ok but other areas having nothing in place. What did you do for yourself today that actually made you happy? I really hope that you did something. Taking a shower counts too. Or moving yourself outta bed today when all you wanted was to go back to sleep. Count the small efforts no less. Sometimes that's all it takes to shift your energy. For me, I'm pretty happy that I was able to feed myself some really nutritious foods and do a 30 min yoga after a 25min walk today. My fitness keep hitting backward due to my SI Joint pain but I'm keeping up with hopes and kickstarting each time I fall down. Here's my motivation that #4monthspostpartum this pose is finally happening again. Little things, remember. It's always the little things that someday sums up to a pile of efforts that shows your solid concrete results. #mythoughtsfromheart Sending much love to you all. @Finolaphysio and I received the most heartwarming review for @strengththroughyoga recently. This here is exactly the reason we wrote our ebook and it kind of made me well up. . “After doing only the first stage for a week and a half I was able to work every day this week WITHOUT BACK PAIN for the first time in over a year, I'm so excited to continue this program and forever grateful to you guys for this product, your detailed approach to holistic muscle strength and the candidness with which you approach issues caused by pregnancy, birth, c-section etc’.” . Our eguide if for ALL mothers. Whether you gave birth yesterday or five years ago, whether you had a c-section or natural birth and whether you’re suffering from diastasis recti, prolapse or other common postpartum issues. We can and want to help - you are not alone. . #postnatalguide #postnatalfitness #postnatalyoga #physioapproved #diastasisrecti #diastasisrectirecovery #prolapse #pnd #postnataldepression @postpartum @expectful @birthofamama @empoweredbirthproject

9 months in ↠ 9 months out . Posting this before + after because I’m so friggin PROUD of myself. I gained ~45-50 pounds during pregnancy and honestly didn’t know if I’d ever be able to lose it all and I was totally ok with that. What I didn’t expect was being in better shape than I was pre-pregnancy. I weigh more now than I did pre-baby because I’ve gained a ton more muscle. Women are warriors and there’s nothing we can’t do. . Just linked a free sample workout of the 21 day workout program you’ve seen me post just about every day on my stories for the last few months. I attribute this progress to those workouts and drinking my protein + superfoods shake for breakfast each morning. Link in bio if you’re interested! . . #beforeandafter #momlife #realstagram #postpartumfitness #postpartumbody #9monthsin9monthsout #adventuremamas #yogababy #yogamom #fourthtrimester #playeveryday #movementmedicine #selfcare #postpartum #postnatalyoga #postpartumhealth #postnatalexercise #movement #postnatalfitness #mindfulmovement #postpartumjourney #strongasamother

#didyouknow •Pregnancy tests• The first urine-based pregnancy test was recorded in Ancient Egypt in 1350 B.C.—more than 3000 years ago. A woman would urinate on barley and wheat seeds for a few days, and if they grew it meant she was pregnant. If barley grew, she was pregnant with a boy, and if wheat grew she was pregnant with a girl. And get this—the Office of NIH History reports that in 1963 this was tested...and found to be true 70% of the time (just the pregnancy test part, not the gender reveal)! . •Midwives• The history of midwives will have to be its own article entirely. But here are a few little facts to leave you with: Midwives have been around forever. They are, for example, in the Bible. A midwife attended Jesus’s birth, and in ancient Egypt, midwives were told by the Pharaoh, “When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him. But if it is a daughter, she shall live.” In fact, midwives, attended all births—doctors were almost never present. Birth was considered just for women, and men did not start attending births until the 1800s. Even then, they were instructed not to look at the women they were caring for. When a midwife attended the birth of a royal or well-to-do person, she had to take an oath that she would not steal the placenta or umbilical cord, and use it for witchcraft.

Such a great quote One time I got a message that stated that my yoga videos would look better if I lose weight I was literally speechless. Yoga is not about looking pretty or sexy on the mat. If you ever feel that your yoga practice isn't good enough because you compare yourself against yoga insta influencers then it’s time to press the “unfollow” button. Yoga is for everybody, literally EVERY BODY. Some people are more flexible, others are stronger, some are talented, some have time to practice 3 hrs a day, other struggle to squeeze 30 minutes every few days. We are all different, but it really doesn’t matter because yoga is a deeply personal practice & there is no comparison or competition . . #yinyogalove #yogababes #mumliferocks #yogababy #yinyoga #yogauk #ukyoga #ukyogis #postnatalyoga #postnatalexercise #prenatalyoga #prenatalworkout #yogafamily #yogainspo #yogalondon #londonyoga #yogainlondon #yogavideos #yogavideo #yogaforbeginners #beginnerworkout #beginneryoga
