"Tara's tenacity is immense. Buddha Shakyamuni vowed to awaken to enlightenment in the age when people's lifespan had degenerated to one hundred years. His resolve is considered superior to that of other buddhas. Buddha Shakyamuni himself, when teaching a sutra and a tantra on Tara, said that among all the other buddhas, Manjushri and Tara are the two who have exceedingly great resolve.
