Within Daoist thought there is a concept called Li. It means the markings in jade, the grain in wood and even the flow of a river. A better way to think of it would be the order in chaos. When we observe this in nature we are awe struck with its perfection.... nothing to be fixed. Each and every day of our lives, if we take a moment this chaotic perfection is always there, but our first reaction is rarely to celebrate the beauty. Do something with me....imagine a wood grain and see the perfection in its line, feel the joy that is created..... now picture yourself standing naked in front of a mirror.... what is the thought process?Do you want to fix what you see?
