Ghar ki saree chali office !! When @vijayalaxmichhabra mentioned the term #gharkisaree ... it was like music to my ears. Have always heard this term from my mom. “ इस बार गर्मी में घर की साड़ी लेनी है।” or “ ये अब घर की साड़ी हो गयी है।” etc. For me there was nothing like ghar ki saree because at that time I never wore sarees at home. So I had only “Bhahar ki sarees”. Over the period of time I realised the concept and comfort of this ghar ki saree. They were soft and low on maintenance and easy on pocket. So I do have a few of them now. One more thing I realised today was that a neatly washed n ironed and starched and nicely draped ghar ki saree can make an office ki saree also. Can one wear a grey cloud?! I guess not; but that is what this saree feels like! ~ ~ ~ Last saree in April is this #organza from Calcutta. It has a gold zari border and small black butis all over the body of the saree. This is a very different saree because it’s been customized with block printed Roses with gold foil leaves.
