It used to say "Always More," which was a phrase my older sister and I said to each other when our mental health was not at its strongest. ⁠⠀ ––⁠⠀ This was my mom and friend's way of telling me I didn't always need to search for "more" in myself; I was enough already. At that moment, there was absolutely nothing else I needed to hear/read more. Truly, it was during one of the hardest weeks of my life...and those who went through it with me know why.⁠⠀ ––⁠⠀ The point, my friends, is that we often have this urge to seek "more" in our lives, whether it be in our relationships, our homes, our careers, or within ourselves. Why, though? Sure, there will "always be more" to who we are as people –– what we can handle mentally and emotionally –– and that's important to remember when we feel like we just cannot do "it" anymore, whatever your "it" may be. However...I want you to remember that no matter what, your efforts, appearance, lifestyle, and current season ARE ENOUGH. I’ve been really quiet on here for the past few weeks. Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you haven’t. Honestly, i have been a little paralyzed with what to share and I’ve been in my own head, worrying about what others would think, worried that people would roll their eyes at me, worried that someone would screen shot it and send it to a friend and talk shit. This morning i saw this photo of myself from when i spoke at Arbonne’s global training conference in May. I stood on a stage in front of 18,000 people live and 8,000 people virtually and talked to them about CONSISTENTLY BEING THEMSELVES. And yet, here i am AFRAID to be myself because of what someone else might think. All of this negative self talk and head trash started about 5 weeks ago when someone i went to high-school with decided to publicly bash not only the incredible company I’m apart of, but the industry, and also indirectly me. Her words, and i quote “only the people who make it up in the ranks are very shitty people. Very shitty moral people” - those words have HAUNTED me and crippled me for 5. Long. Weeks... why? She doesn’t know me. She hasn’t had a conversation with me ever, let alone in the last 7 years I’ve been building an arbonne business. She doesn’t know what i do with my paycheck or the countless lives I’ve changed with this business. She doesn’t see the direct messages i get from people thanking me for saying yes to arbonne because they are now home with their babies, or out of debt, or able to take their husband on a vacation, or the healthiest versions of themselves.. the list goes on and on. But i let her thinking I’m a “very shitty person” get to me and eat away at my self confidence in what i have to offer. My PSA for you today is not to let the opinions of anyone else hold you back from doing what you love, or sharing what you want to share. Also as adults can we stop bullying one another for what they decided to do for a living or how they decide to build an income. What i do isn’t for everyone, but it is for ME and if you’re so offended by it then i suggest you do some personal growth and soul searching. Learn to accept others for who they are and not who YOU want them to be.
