4 reasons 7 year olds are the best coworkers: 1. Kids keep you humble. You think you’re killing it with that new haircut? Wrong. They will ask why you would ever cut it off when “it looked much better longer.” ‍♀️ 2. Kids know things. Even when you don’t say a word about it, kids know when you’re hurting. They deliver the most perfectly timed hugs and compliments. 3. Kids make you think. Have you ever been asked if you’d rather fight a chicken sized zombie or a zombie sized chicken? 7 year olds bring up so pretty valid arguments for both sides. 4. Kids keep you young. While my students made their self-portraits for Open House, several of them said “there’s no crayon for my skin” I’m embarrassed I didn’t think of it sooner, but I told them I was going to get some of these people color crayons for them and the next day one of my students brought these to class (his mom is a teacher) & told me his mom had 2 packs and said we could have one We used them today and the kids were SO EXCITED These chairs are also from Lakeshore and are one of the most highly sought after flexible seating options. You can change the position of the back forward and back and it’s extremely comfortable. When your students leave you sweet messages on your board... ‍♀️ I actually told the kid who did this he could only leave it there if he could define “yeet” and use it in a sentence. He said “Come on Mrs. Bourque - it’s like a battle cry and is meant to be used when you’re like excited. Like we just submitted our AP Seminar portfolio—-YEET.” ‍♀️Alright kid. You win this one.
