Although the journey to expand our freedom is worth every step we take, it may be initially frightening to look at some aspects of ourselves with complete honesty, compassion and without judgments. If we’ve been living unconsciously most of the time, which is to say, unaware of the narrative in our minds and the emotions that are being recreated from the past, it is likely that we will experience discomfort or turbulence when we start the process of healing and letting go. . The choice of being free comes with the challenge to face what was holding us from our own freedom and open ourselves to let it be and naturally dissolve without reinforcing it. Some emotions we may not even know we had in store, as they were simply deeply hidden in our subconscious. When they stay hidden in our subconscious, they are present in everything we do without us even noticing. As they come to surface, we get to release them and experience a greater level of freedom. . We will often experience what at the surface may seem a huge step back, but it is actually the tipping point for expanding our freedom, which is when these heavy emotions and narratives from our past are coming to surface to be released. Remaining present, and allowing whatever comes to surface to be as it is, without craving to change it or adding judgments, labels or stories to it, allows us to process our past and let it dissolve naturally, opening space for our healing and freedom. . Each time we are willing to love ourselves more deeply and expand our freedom, we will experience the opportunities to release what is holding us from it. Whatever arises is not holding us from our freedom, but guiding us toward it. We never truly experience setbacks, but opportunities to take bigger leaps toward our freedom.

In the past four years, I have made A LOT of changes. I have changed jobs, quit jobs, changed locations, became “homeless,” changed phone numbers and “lost” a lot of people that were once big parts of my life: friends, colleagues and family. At the time, the decisions were treacherously painful and difficult and I spent so many hours even until recently questioning, doubting, or second guessing my decisions and actions. • But, as soon as I began to truly feel and understand love, I understood that patience, kindness, and respect not only surrounds Love, but very crucially makes up the fundamental aspects of it. After experiencing the gentle and warm love from Boris, I finally understood that someone could actually love me for ME, exactly how I was at the moment. Even if I had things to change and work through, and still do, the kindness, patience, and respect aspect NEVER wavered. I was shocked. I had NEVER experienced this feeling before, from ANYONE. And to be honest, sometimes I still am. Because THIS is LOVE. My love for myself to allow me to open up to his love, and ultimately his love for me, finally made me able to understand that I was worthy of being loved. Even with all my messy imperfections. • I have done a lot of crazy things in my life and even more so in the past four years, and the people who know me either still or had dropped out of my life would certainly think I’ve lost it, but I finally found the piece that had been missing and won’t tolerate anything or anyone who can’t match the way I know I deserved to be treated: Self Love • If someone in your life makes you feel less than, whether it’s your boss, your friend, or your family, it is not YOUR issue. Your only issue is putting up with it. Love yourself enough NOW to know that you are good enough at this moment to be loved for all that you are. All the past mistakes, regrets, traumas, and misfortunes do not change or affect how amazing you are and your right to be loved. Once you love yourself, it’ll be a lot easier to see clearly what unhealthy relationships look like.
