Calling all aspiring jumpers, this is the first official jump you need to learn—the three (waltz) jump ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ WHAT ——— Exercise: Three (waltz) jump Skill Type: Jump Difficulty: Beginner + ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ WHY ——— The first jump you should to learn Learn to jump safely ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ HOW ——— A three jump is half a rotation in the air, which takes off from a forward outside edge and lands on a backward outside edge on the other foot. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This description will be for anti clockwise jumpers (for clockwise swap the lefts and rights). You want to jump the same direction you find most comfortable to spin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ From standstill start in a left tee position (left foot in front and right foot behind) with the left hip and shoulder in front with your arms stretched out to the side. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bring both hands forward to say hello to the jump and push onto a left forward outside edge. At the same time as you push bring both arms back behind you to connect with the right leg. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To start with only step through the jumping action by bringing the arms and leg through to transfer to the right foot to a backward outside edge.
