I’m asked all the time if my intention is to paint landscapes... but really...my intention is to create abstract spaces. This was years in the making. I started working on this wooden panel back in 2012. I painted white, blues in encaustic paint and scratched away. Put it away for 5 years and then made a little more progress but this time with oil paint and alcohol ink on top of the encaustic. Then I forgot about it for the last few years. Over the last few days the remaining details have been painted with oil pastels and fused in. More scratching.
