Really WHITE demo tattoo from my 1:1 with a local flower shop hoping to up their prom game. I think the floral tattoo is such a perfect way to flower for prom. They’re so, so fun to make. They don’t require a lot of flowers or expensive materials. They’re artfully fulfilling for the designer. They come together in a snap! They can be made ahead, just like a corsage. They’re effortless to wear. Super stylish, functional, versatile, and long lasting. You can even wear them on your wrist!! I really can’t think of a reason not to try this as an alternative to a traditional prom corsage. Unless you’d miss the glob of stiff acetate ribbon People, it’s 2019! Here’s one for the corsage purists. I know you’re out there- you like the streamlined look of glued corsages, but aren’t sure you want to let go of the security wiring offers. Here’s an example of one way to approach this: wired corsage of ranunculus, spray rose, nerine, scabiosa, allium siculum, skimmia, rosemary, thyme, raspberry leaf, and passionflower tendrils. Larger, heavier items were wired together into a long, slender structure, and attached to the lacy metal bracelet. Smaller, delicate materials such as the allium, raspberry, and tendrils were cold glued to finish the design. Strength of wire, freedom of glue, updated look of a jewelry base. Bracelet purchased at @forever21, and painted with @dmcolor uber matte paint in “crema.” Step by step how-to in the November issue of @florists_review! Flower-focused corsages are one of my favorite things. Currently working on ways to make them artfully, inexpensively, and glue-free. Everyone who knows me well knows I LOVE the freedom of floral glue, but more than that, I love figuring out many ways to do all of the things... It’s really hard to show these guys off properly without a model to put them on, so here’s my face too.
