I’ve had some interesting conversations with people this week about defining when you are a young person and when you become an adult. It’s a very perceptive definition and is so different for everyone. Some feel it’s when the law says, some feel it’s when they start to take some self-responsibility and some when they are self-accepting and happy. A lot of others say they are still waiting in their mid life to feel adult. Our souls are amazing at transcending time and space. I feel that we can tune into our soul at various ages and play the behaviors of different ages and levels of maturity out at any moment in our life time. I have seen grown men and women behave like toddlers and teenagers and have seen small children speak with the wisdom of old souls. Being a young person is a powerful time for this child and adult shapeshifting. A magical and transcending time where the physical body is developing rapidly as it is being programmed by the soul. When I work with young people I trust that they can tune into the energy of both their child and adult selves and tune into such vast wisdom. Giving them the freedom to fly and fall or fly and fly higher. Either way they have the power. Happy Friday! As many of my clients know, I work weekends, so Friday is the start of my work-week, but also the end of my school-week. I still get excited for Friday evenings though! Fridays mean reconnecting with my favourite work colleagues, seeing my clients work hard, and taking a step back when I can from the pressures of grad school life. It’s not the day that means something, it’s the break, change and freedom that comes with the day, even if it means working.
