Wandered into Utsuwa Cafe Yu today, a pottery cafe tucked quietly in the back streets of Daimyo, with my good friends and local celebrity power couple Narumi (@101narumi) and Micchiy (@mrmrshyakuichi). We visited the cafe on the first floor, where you can choose the type of mug you'd like for your coffee or tea. They also have light meals, and desserts such as matcha pudding and chiffon cake And aside from offering locally handmade mugs and cups for purchase in-store, they also have a one-day pottery class where you can make your own clay dishes, which seems kinda fun. I've passed this place so many times and never actually went inside until today, but considering its one of the quieter cafes in the area, I think it's one of my new favorites.☕

I have been, as my friend Mai put it, "Marie Kondo-ing the shit out of my life", with a bunch of very black-and-white changes to my lifestyle, my surroundings, and people lately. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's been messy at times (but it's ok because Marie Kondo loves mess!) and last week I could barely eat at all, but this week suddenly it's like my body has shifted gears and I'm hungry all the time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today I went to a preview for the Hilton's upcoming Taiwanese Buffet, which starts tomorrow until mid-July, and it was a great way to try a little bit of all everything I miss about Taiwan (which, if you haven't been, is a foodie paradise btw.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I probably won't be able to afford to travel for a bit, so I'm pretty thankful for Fukuoka's multicultural food scene.

Sayonara ✌!! Officially in Japan today! This is really happening, feels like we’re just here for vacation! Never in my life did I think we’d live in another country! I’m so thankful to have had lots of time to spend with my mom, dad, brothers, family, and friends!! Thank you to everyone who was able to spend some time with us before we left!
