And finally we have Squirtle! Squirtle was always my favorite so I felt a little guilty about making these changes. Essentially I think Squirtle would drift more into the Sea Turtle look. The Shell always felt a little bland to me and the tail, while I understand the concept behind it, felt out of place. So combining the shell and tail into a Conch Shell, I think would give it more of a water type look and be a little more interesting to look at! Another one! This time Charmander! It’s really fun to reimagine the designs we’ve grown to love. In no ways do I think this is “better” than Charmander, but just an idea of what it might look like if designed for a newer generation of Pokémon. I tried to make it feel more like a Salmander or Newt, much like the name suggests, with a few hints toward becoming a possible Chinese Dragon in its later evolutions. I also chose to omit the flame tail because I think just fire thrown on designs is a little cheap and they haven’t been doing that a lot lately, so I just stuck with the design pattern.
