If only the mental health transformation were as obvious as the physical one. We are past the halfway point of 2019, and my goodness—has this been a year! ❌
Changes I made, seriously, included acknowledging what void in my life food was filling.
For me, it was loneliness.
Food was always there for me. I always there for it. Taco Bell was my best friend, until I became besties with my therapist and my mental health goals. I had to decide that the girl in the mirror was enough, and just doing the best she was with what she had.
As soon as I accepted that, I decided I didn’t need the instant gratification of food. Instead, I could just reflect on memories with my loved ones and be thankful for those times. Things can come and go, but people and positive memories will remain as long as you allow them.
