OH. MY. GOODNESS. I have been so incredibly busy that I nearly forgot today is the 9 year Blog-Anniversary of The Organised Housewife! It blows my mind to think about the supportive community I’ve built, and I’m beyond grateful for each and every one of you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I look back over the last year I honestly want to cry! It has been a gorgeous year of growth that has seen me move out of my home and into a big office space, build a wonderful team of lovely ladies who make coming to work a pleasure, I released my first cookbook, won the People’s Choice Gold Coast Woman of the Year, was featured on national television, became an Ambassador for the Give Me 5 For Kids campaign, overcame my fear of public speaking, and will soon be releasing my first ever Weekly Planner. Wow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I feel very honoured that you’ve all let me in to your homes and hearts, and I truly hope that I’ve been able to make a positive difference in your lives. About last night… . Business Chicks hosted an exclusive workshop last night in partnership with Facebook for Premium Members. I booked my place with no expectations as it was a free event and I didn’t know anyone that was attending...until a few days before I found out 3 of my members would be there too! . Team, I learnt SO much and had a few really important reminders! Here are a few of my take-aways: . Quality over Quantity! Yep, this is confirmed from a Facey expert! Quantity created noise so this is no longer prioritised. Quality always! . Stop the Scroll! Do this by creating posts with movement - whether that’s videos or GIFs. Don’t be afraid to be creative to stop the scroll. . Craft a single-minded message. For example in each one of your posts, you only want to ask ONE thing. Do not ask to look at blog, sign up to list and click a link all in one post. ONE CTA ONLY. . CTA’s are not a bad thing. In fact, they are important. . Audiences are CRAVING messages that are from the heart. So if you want to talk about how amazing your business is - tell us about WHY you started it. What it means to you. Why YOU can't live without it. . This is why LIVE videos are doing so well. Our audiences want to see us stumble (in a good way). They like knowing we are only human too. They want to see us vulnerable and authentic - so don’t be afraid to show up as your whole self. . We also dove into the Ads Manager which was really great to get a better understanding of all the backend side of Facebook and its ‘Family of Apps’. . Have a wonderful Wednesday team! #businesschicks
