To the girl I judged at the gym today... . To the person I shot a disgusted look at for pulling out in front of me . To my childhood acquaintance I avoided in the super market . To the person doing cool shit on Instagram whose photo I intentionally didn’t like because I didn’t want to feed your ego . To the person who’s business I immediately doubted when I saw you launch it . Thank you. . Thank you for reminding me of all the parts of myself that I don’t yet fully love. Thank you for highlighting where I am not showing up fully as my highest self. Thank you for making me aware of the things I need to heal within me. Thank you for opening my eyes to all the little fears running my life. . Thank you for humbling me. Thank you for helping me level up. . None of us are perfect no matter how hard we try to be. We judge. We hate. We get petty. We have a hidden agenda to be, do, and have better than our friends. We’re selfish. Narcissistic. Envious. . We’re all of it. . And I know it may feel more comfortable to deny those parts of yourself. It’s not pretty. It’s not what we’re taught is desirable. It’s destroys your identity because it’s not who you thought you were. . But it’s the truth. And ignoring the truth certainly doesn’t lead to a fulfilling or masterful life (which is the ultimate goal - at least mine anyways). . Pay attention to your dark side - it can be one of your biggest teachers
