This past year I’ve learnt a lot about being kind to myself when feeling my worst. It’s really easy to put so much expectation on your life and where you think you should be, especially when you start comparing yourself to others. But there’s no formula to how your adult life should play out; no set age you have to reach certain achievements by. Work hard, set goals — but don’t turn on yourself when you don’t meet said goals. Be gentle with yourself and set new ones, and go at your own pace.
