A good question for all of you— when do you trellis?
•
We aim to do it right after moving the plants in to within the first two weeks for super sativas that will get super tall once they’re flipped. We left this task up to the discretion of the worker bee and I think they waited a little too long... thoughts?

((For future reference, and in case you noticed the trellising or lack thereof, the buds should be sitting *on top* of the trellis to support the buds and hopefully keep the stems from breaking. Aiming for a top in every square ...Here they trellised late and also too high so not all tops made it through the squares of the trellis. ))

Reusing our indoor soil for flowers and veggies...not sure how this hemp plant made its way into the hibiscus ♀️but reusing soil can lead to PM, so let’s discuss.
•
•
What are some ways you combat or prevent PM (powdery mildew)? Here we reused soil, which is a major trigger for PM as the spores live in the soil.
•
•
Gardening tip ✨— if you reuse your soil for weed plants, cucumbers, grapes, squash, anything prone to pm (powdery mildew, white spots on leaves), add some calcium bicarbonate to your soil. PM spores overwinter, so if you had pm the year before it will come back. Add calcium bicarbonate powder to kill spores that have overwintered in your soil. You can also make a foliar spray to apply to affected areas or act as a preventative if some spores have started to take root but are still invisible to the naked eye...and remember, keep other plants prone to PM away from your ganja, or plan to spray preventatively.

Dosidos popping off in Salem... was hard to capture with the iPhone but the reds really popped here , which I rarely see. Due to the #fade and quite possibly a lack of water... What other strains turn red? ❤️

Note ✨ :: to anyone using those @floraflex rings (I highly recommend the harder plastic ones that don’t have the small ring) , make sure you check the holes regularly to make sure they’re still flowing properly. Clearex them every once in a while if you can! And definitely make sure you hydrogen peroxide them between runs..

Mini tent looks ready to harvest. Trichomes are milky white and all the hairs have darkened and curled in. Flush starts today. They are 74 days old (sprouted March 4). I added the slinky for a sense of scale ⚖ is it such a cute little tent? The grow light is a HLG 100 Quantum Board LED grow light by @horticulturelightinggroup. It uses just 100W so I'm pretty surprised at how much bud it grew!
The buds are all long and thin like spears. The light seems to have good penetration (gets deep into the plant) but overall low levels of light density. It's hard to estimate the yields because last time I grew in the tent, it was with a 288W T5 fluorescent light. All the buds under the T5 were much fatter than these, but also much shorter. And this light uses about 1/3 the energy.
I'm going to hide this tent in my closet for the next grow. I've got an idea to hide the exhaust fan so it seriously just looks like a little Ikea wardrobe. It already has a 4" Cloudline Infinity fan, which is almost dead quiet on the 9/10 setting ("10" setting is weirdly loud ). I want to see how stealthy and hidden I can make this while maximizing yields.
What's the most secret or stealthy setup you've grown in?
