К вопросу о трещинах на тортах... Очень часто кондитеры винят крем или ганаш, мол трескается торт, неудобно работать, нужно искать другой рецепт. За время работы с разными поверхностями я сделала много наблюдений и пришла к важным выводам для себя по этому вопросу. Безусловно, я ими поделюсь, но сначала хочу спросить вас, с чем вы работаете и с какой поверхностью были проблемы. Нашли ли вы ответ на вопрос для себя «почему треснул торт»? В связи с крайним моим видео уроком, очень многие писали в Директ, а не трескается ли у меня шоколадное покрытие? Не трескается. Но дело не в покрытии, понимаете ? The brightest Florals of them all... A birthday cake of dreams

It’s my last day at the beach, so I thought I’d throw it back to this cake I painted for a collaboration back in February. Funny thing about this cake- when I made it I was completely frustrated with how it turned out. As in, I almost didn’t post it, but now (5 months later), I actually really like it and watching it has me itching to get home and pull my brushes out!! There are a several different ways to paint on a cake. For this one, I used my @americolor gels, thinned out with a drop of Everclear, and it worked great! I hope to try some of the food paints out there soon, but one great thing about using my @americolor gels is that I always have them on hand! What do you think about painted cakes? Have you ever tried?

This week Erica and Charlie from @bluebellkitchen joined me for a two day cake painting class. Day one we worked on techniques and learning to use the brushes, paint consistencies etc. The second day they painted a design onto a two tier dummy. A pleasure teach you both
