Cheesecake and brownie to celebrate summer days
For the brownies:
* 1/3 cup cocoa powder
* 1/2 cups sugar
* 1 egg
* 1/4 cup avocado oil
* 1/2 almond flour
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the cheesecake:
* 250gr cream cheese, softened
* 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
* 1 large egg
* 1/3 cup sugar
* 1 teaspoon salt
1. Mix all brownie ingredients, all at once and bake for 10 minutes in 350 degree preheated oven
2. Mix all cheesecake ingredients until completely smooth
3. Remove brownie base and pour cheesecake ingredients on top
4. Make swirls with your favorite jam
5. Bake for another 35-40 minutes or until cracks form on top your cheesecake
6. When completely cooled, transfer to the fridge for 2 hours before serving. Trust me it doesn’t work if you skip this step.
I want to talk about stress. Because on the outside, sometimes things can look all shiny, but behind the scenes sometimes things can feel full on - like the swipe right. And at the moment, I’m feeling more right picture than left.

Stress and burnout is a really significant problem for our mental and physical health. The effects of stress can directly impact our physical health by releasing hormones like cortisol and other substances that amp up inflammation (in a bad way) in our bodies. High chronic levels of stress also affect our behaviour with more fast-food, less nutritious foods, less exercise, more alcohol and less sleep. It also affects how our brain works, impairing our cognition. Over time it may lead to illness such as heart disease and diabetes.

Stress is just a part of my life; it’s a natural part of my job and I’m one of those people who is always busy and sometimes does too much. Lately, things have been more full on than usual and I’ve been feeling some of those negative effects of stress - some bad sleep or not exercising how I want. Managing my stress effectively is vital because people rely on me to be at my best. But I also want to take care of my own health and wellbeing and that’s what I’m going to do.

For me, managing my stress means exercising, playing music, chilling out and watching TV, getting some good sleep and taking a step back from social media (because I find that a big unnecessary stressor!). And so that is exactly what I’m going to do. Having a little quiet time away from here to recharge my own batteries.

BANANA CHERRY NICE CREAM
Add 2 frozen bananas (in pieces), 1 hand full of frozen cherries, 1 tsp acai powder and 4 tbsp cream (or milk) to a blender and blend until creamy. Add to a bowl, top with yoghurt, fresh cherries, shredded coconut and cacao nibs. Enjoy!

BANANEN-KIRSCH-EIS
2 gefrorene Bananen, 1 Handvoll gefrorene Kirschen, 1 TL Açaí Pulver und 4 EL Sahne (oder Milch) in einen Mixer und langsam auf die höchste Stufe schalten. Solange mixen, bis das Eis schön cremig geworden ist.
Im eine Schüssel füllen und mit Joghurt, frischen Kirschen, Kokosflocken und Kakaonibs topen.

2016 vs 2019
I keep getting messages daily asking how I lost a total of 60lbs and gained my confidence with such a hectic schedule, kids around me snacking on temptations daily, and everything else going on that sometimes gets in the way of us taking the best care of ourselves, so I really want to start posting something every Friday or every other Friday! It didnt happen over night, I’m not a professional or anything, and I still have so much to learn about how to properly take care of my body but I figured we can learn and grow together! Step 1 to getting closer to my goals was cutting out candy, snack cakes, all soda(even diet), and all juice. I cut my sugar for my coffee down from 3 large scoops to 2 small scoops and only drink 2-3 cups max now compared to my 6-8+ cups a day I used to have & I switched from half and half to almond milk. I started parking in the back of the parking lot so I would have to walk further when shopping, and when I’m doing laundry I take as many trips as possible up and down the stairs. It didn’t seem like much at first but I slowly started noticing myself making more and more healthier choices and looking for time and ways to get some extra exercise in!

Frühstücken ist für mich was fürs Wochenende!Unter der Woche habe ich einfach keine Zeit, keine Lust und meistens einfach keinen Hunger dafür. Ich stehe unter der Woche um 5.30 Uhr auf, trinke einen Kaffee, nehme mir im besten Fall einen Smoothie mit und esse erst mittags gegen 13 Uhr. Wenn ich Lust auf Porridge, Granola oder sonstiges Frühstück habe esse ich es entweder als Mittagessen oder dann abends! The real secret to lifelong good health is actually the opposite - let your body take care of you. It's very important to maintain a fit body in our fast moving lifestyle. A lot depends on the kind of food you feed your body with. I am trying my stretch with @happyhealthymeorganics products that are 100 percent organic - basically food that is grown by organic farming. I love oats. Especially for breakfast. Sometimes it’s overnight oats, sometimes homemade granola, sometimes a smoothie and sometimes a warm, comforting porridge. In this case with berry puree, almond butter and chocolate chunks.
