One of my wishes for my children is, I hope that as they get older, they will still come to me for comfort. No matter what. I pray as a teen they can come to me for a hug whenever and know I will always love and support them. I think that’s why from a newborn I have always offered and given cuddles and never really minded rocking them to sleep. I will always cuddle them to sleep if they need it. They didn’t ask to be brought into this world, all they’ve known since they’re born is whoever their guardian is and trust them to be their protector. So no I’m not making a rod for my own back if I let my child sleep on me for a nap, no they don’t need to be rushed into learning on their own to be independent. If they’re not settling in a bed on their own. I don’t mind. If they’re happy, I’m happy, even if we have to sacrifice a lot as parents. It’s the worlds greatest gift and privilege. Lasten mummolaan kotiutui tällaisia suloisuuksia ja Isla sai nimetä niistä tämän pienimmän. Hänestä tuli siis Nelli Nuudelipää Lapset on niin onnekkaita, kun heillä on tällainen maalaismummola, mikä poikkeaa aivan täysin meidän kaupunkielämästä. Iso rikkaus! Mun oma mummola oli vähän vastaavanlainen (ilman lampaita ja kanoja tosin) ja lapsuusmuistot sieltä on rakkaita Siellä oli iso piha ja metsiä joihin rakennettiin serkun kanssa majoja, puiset lattiat ja iso yläkerta, missä saatiin leikkiä aina rauhassa. Erityisesti mieleen jäi se, että öisin sai hiippailla mummon kanssa keittiöön syömään pullaa ja samalla kuunneltiin avoimesta ikkunasta öisiä luonnon ääniä :') Millainen teidän mummola on tai oli, mitä sieltä on jäänyt erityisesti mieleen?
