You won’t make athletic gains if you are sick, injured, ill, chronically stressed out by triathlon, burned-out, or over-trained. I work with my athletes to ensure they are starting from a “healthy” baseline. In this sport it’s easy to glorify racing through injury, pushing through when you are sick, etc. ❌ That’s not how I coach. Instead – let’s modify/ adapt, get back to health ASAP, then proceed. I’m in it with you for your long-term goals, and this is how we get there. ▪️2. Balance promotes health: This means a holistic view of the whole athlete – work/ play/ nutrition/ training/ racing/ recovery – across the brain, the body, the heart. I write your training AROUND your day-to-day life. So you don’t have to choose between date night vs. a trainer ride, or a swim vs. your morning with the kiddos. If you love your Tuesday night ride with the local bike shop? Sweet, let’s work that into your plan. And bonus, guess what? This also creates happy, motivated athletes ▪️3. Health + Balance (+motivation) = Consistency: AND THIS IS HOW YOU GET FASTER AND/OR REACH YOUR GOALS! Triathlon is a hobby, it should add value, fun, adventure, fulfillment, enjoyment (etc.) to your life.
