The bay is everyone on staff's favorite place to watch the sunsets. These benches make it so much easier to see God's creativity up close! ⁣ (And a special thanks to our donors for the benches!)

Our summer staff came across this quote in chapter four of A. W. Tozer's "The Pursuit of God". We talked about how Christians should be standing out from the world around them. They should pursue and follow Christ to the extent that they are noticeably different from those around them.

Something powerful happens when we start our morning spending time with God. It’s so easy to get caught up in the to-do’s and have-to’s or make it a chore. Sharing a Senior Staff Highlight so you can get to know our crew! Meet our accountant, Marla Kruse! Marla is a mom to four children, and a wife to Ben Kruse. She and her husband worked on summer staff together when they were younger. Now they lead the band "Arrow and Ember," and you may be fortunate to hear them at HCBC! They lead worship at their church, Grace Community, in Waterford, New Jersey. We would like to thank Marla for her dedication and amazing personality that has added so much to our crew here at HCBC!
