Yesterday was day 8 of our #familyroadtrip, as we move along the vast land that is The USA I reflect on so many things I have learned along the way. For one, I am simply amazed that it has taken me 27 years to get to know the west coast this close, however, timing is always right as I will now have a deep appreciation for all I have seen. Traveling opens new channels of understanding about things you had never thought of before and your mindset about other things can change too. A huge impression maker for me was learning that states like Wyoming, Montana, and other northern states employ temporary workers from other countries because there are no local workers available I had no idea! We were in Gardiner Montana and our server couldn’t understand us when we had questions about the menu, it kinda felt like being a different country altogether! I am happy to share this trip of a lifetime with my children so that it doesn’t take them as long as it took me to know our home country this close and personal.
