It’s been so long since I’ve posted something about me training. I find the text spot on. And this is something I remind myself and others about constantly. #Repost @locomotionnewyork ・・・ There can be confusion about some of the work we do that we hope to clear up briefly. - We are not looking towards our work as “exercise” or “fitness” but rather a “practice”. This means we are not actually as concerned with the OUTCOME as we are the PROCESS. We don’t need to be the best powerlifters, hand-balancers, climbers, dancers, etc. When you want to be the best you will surely take it to the point where you no longer enjoy what you are doing because you are only focusing on what that thing will GIVE you in return. Instead, we practice and get better at whatever the current task is at hand. We learn more about the thing itself, as well as our bodies. It encourages us to show up everyday with a beginner mind set and practice for the sake of practice, not because it promises some financial or aesthetic gain. Those can be side effects, but when they are the priority, you can be sure that your motivation will fizzle and you will find yourself jumping from program to program, trying to find out why you can never lose weight, achieve any skills, and still aren’t sure whether carbs are bad or not. - So, you may come to learn handstands, but maybe you begin to understand the process of learning, how to be a better boss/employee/husband/wife/etc, objective vs. subjective reality, and since your motivation won’t fizzle out, you may really get that handstand one day. - #locomotionnewyork #movementculture #handstand #longisland #huntingtonvillage #northport #commack

About last night..... got to work on this beautiful girl! We did a combination of microblading and shading. Adding some shading just makes the brow look a little more dense or filled-in in the areas were there is no natural hair.
