RARE DISEASE DAY 2019
I am a big supporter of Rare Disease Day, which is held 28 February every year. As someone who has lived with a rare disease (ichthyosis) all my life, I believe it is more important to awareness of the unique challenges faced by anyone with a rare disease (and their family) than about ichthyosis specifically.
Rather than ask my family and friends to donate to a specific charity, I would rather ask everyone to be kind to those around you! (even if they don't have a rare disease)
