Quake II was the game that taught me how to move, aim and strafe properly and play FPS games really well. The game wasn't a huge step up over the original in terms of gameplay but it was still a really fun game and I really enjoyed the flow of the single player. I really got into the mods and remember installing bots so I could learn how to play multiplayer competitively and played a lot of CTF - definitely another one of my favourite games of all time (image inspired by @doom_source) Also showing some love for my Pentium III machine (more to come soon ) Did you play Quake 2? I'm finally done working on this Japanese IBM PS/55 Type 5551-T09. Shortly after buying it, the hard drive died, swiftly followed by the floppy drive. The hard drive was an easy fix: a few capacitors and it came back to life. I tried the same fix with the floppy drive to no avail and shelved the project for almost a full year, until recently, when I decided to attempt to modify a standard floppy drive for use with the PS/55's edge connector. I managed to get the machine reading 720KB disks that way, but it refused to work with 1.44MB disks... So I took another look at the original floppy drive and realised I had missed some capacitors on the opposite side of the board.
