Happy Monday! We are going through some major weekend withdrawals over here! Tomorrow is Maisie’s big yearly appointment with her geneticist/ neurologist and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a bit of anxiety! I know in my heart she is absolutely perfect, but these appointments just bring up so many sad and scary thoughts on what our lives were “supposed” to be like. God has carried us through this journey, and I know he will continue to do so no matter what the results will be! On the bright side... after tomorrow we can say that we are 1 year down and only 7 more years to go until we can officially put the Zika virus behind us!!! #zikavirus #zikababy #beatingtheodds #miraclebaby

4 years ago I took a 9 hour bus ride, then a 6 hour ride in the back of a pick up truck, followed by a 3 hour ride in a canoe with this man by my side! We took that long journey to the village that Jarison is from all in search of his birth certificate so we could register our marriage in the country of Honduras. We brought an empty birth certificate to the little house in the middle of the village, filled ceiling high with books. Each book recorded the birth of each person born in that village. The nice old man opened up the book that had Jarison’s birth year written on the outside. He then copied Jarison’s birth information onto our blank birth certificate that we had traveled all those hours with! Then we stood stood in the “court house” which just happened to be a different shack in the middle of that village and we said “I do” it’s been four years since then, and I’ve never looked back! I am so blessed to do life along side this amazing man! I couldn’t ask for a more generous, humble, caring, and loving husband and father to my babies! He makes me a better me and for that I am so grateful! Happy anniversary sweet boy! Four years down and a lifetime to come! Te amo muchísimo!

We have quite a few new friends on here so thought I’d start this week off with a little #meetmemonday ... but to change it up it’s going to be written by my husband! I make up songs about EVERYTHING! anything I do, see, or eat... you bet there will be a song made up about it... and sung on repeat of course! 2. I’m a good cook... no... a “spicy” cook. (Not quite sure what that means because I don’t typically make anything spicy... but I do love to cook!) 3. I will give everything I have to someone in need. 4.
