This MAY cut deep. ⠀ Do you know how many times in a week I hear, "I think it would be better if I waited until "X," "Y," or "Z" to invest in myself. I just have too much going on." ⠀ "I'll have more time." ⠀ "I'll have more stability." ⠀ "I'll have more money." ⠀ Of course, we all know this is smoke and mirrors, when the real issue is fear and lack of belief in oneself. ⠀ I mean, if these excuses were the TRUTH, why would someone apply for the opportunity in the first place, already knowing they want to wait until they're more "stable?" [They wouldn't.] ⠀ BUT, if you're the type of person who has said this when an opportunity has presented itself to you, I have some anecdotal evidence for you. ⠀ Everyone I know who has a habit of using these excuses(family members, friends, clients, etc) never, ever end up chasing that opportunity at a later date. ⠀ I'm sure you've heard business coaches say..."Later always means never." ⠀ They're correct. ⠀ Recently, I was talking to an older gentleman in the gym change-room. He was probably 70 years old or so. ⠀ I was telling him about my travels, and the fact that I was leaving to San Diego next week, and you know what he said? ⠀ "I wish I would have travelled more when I was young. I always told myself I would travel when I had more time. I remember saying to myself that I would go on a trip when I got a promotion. I got that promotion 40 years ago, and I still haven't travelled." ⠀ I said, "Travel NOW!" ⠀ He said, "I wish! Maybe if my knees stop acting up!" ⠀ This is a true story - and here's my point. ⠀ This poor old man kept pushing that goal away, and away, and away again. And now, he's old and sore, and STILL waiting. ⠀ Now, he may or may not have the energy or physical ability to travel...ever. ⠀ And this is exactly what happens to the people who say, "I'll do it later when..." ⠀ And honestly, I can't imagine how painful it would be to stand in that old man's shoes. ⠀ Can you?

You're either 100% in, or you're 100% out. ⠀ I don't have compassion for those of you who have not only made a comfortable home of the in between, but voluntarily continue to live in it. ⠀ There's so many of us who SAY we want to be better. Who SAY we want to invest in our health, our wealth, our future. Who SAY we will do whatever it takes to make our dreams real. ⠀ And...well, there's a whole lotta liars. ⠀ I don't have an exact figure, but I'd guess of all the humans on earth who SAY they will do anything it takes to make their dream a reality, maybe 1% follow-through with it. ⠀ Honestly, it's probably less. ⠀ ...and that's really disheartening. ⠀ I got into business to help people. To help a lot of damn people. ⠀ And nothing is quite as painful as seeing the same people, month after month, year after year, SAYING they're going to do whatever it takes to reach their goals, but never acting on it. ⠀ People that message me the same question[ i.e. What are some tips for starting my business?"] MULTIPLE times over months, to which I give an answer MULTIPLE times, and they still never take a step forward. ⠀ The thing is, when they say "I'll do anything to accomplish my goals!" they're not trying to impress other people. ⠀ They're trying to convince themselves of something that's not currently true. ⠀ Which, of course, the intentions are pure but, without the action, it's nothing more than a...lie. ⠀ They tell themselves they're doing everything in their power to move forward. ⠀ They tell themselves they would have started, but "X," "Y," and "Z" got in the way. ⠀ They show interest in hiring a health coach, business coaches, life coaches, going to seminars, but they never follow through. ⠀ This way, when they’re old and grey, they can tell themselves they "kinda" tried...right? ⠀ You know what's a lot easier on your heart and your conscience? ⠀ If you simply. pick. a side. ⠀ All in, all out. ⠀ Go big, or go home. ⠀ Am I fully in, willing to do whatever it takes? ⠀ Or...am I fully out, not willing to take the drastic measures that MAY be necessary to achieve the greatness I'm craving? ⠀ I wish I could answer that for you, but this one’s on you.

Stop waiting until you've "arrived" before starting to value your customers. . . You should always show up for those who believe in you even if it means going Live to an audience of 5 people, responding to that one commenter that appreciates you or going above and beyond for that one customer.

I’m home. ⠀ Not in regards to the external world, but home in regards to my internal state of being. ⠀ This last year has been a tough one for me. ⠀ Not in business, no - I crushed that. ⠀ Not in relationships, no - this year I made some of the closest friends I’ve ever had. ⠀ Not financially, no - I’m free. ⠀ Was I let down a bunch of times? No. ⠀ Did I lose anyone I loved? No. ⠀ But the degree and frequency of which I felt happiness? That was pretty bland. ⠀ Pretty fucking vanilla, to be honest. ⠀ I felt as though I had become a robot, saying the things I had been programmed to say, moving the way I was programmed to move. ⠀ Going through the motions that drive results, but not the motions that electrify my soul, you know? ⠀ Over the course of the last 5 weeks, in sunny California, I realized just how deep I was. ⠀ How far I have strayed from who I AM, in order to portray who I thought I was supposed to BE. ⠀ I’m not talking about lying, faking, cheating, or anything like that. ⠀ I’m talking about the way we talk, the way we act, the way we “behave” solely because we’ve been trained to act as the person we think others want us to be. ⠀ We try to be and act the way that we *think other people *think we should be and act. ⠀ Read that again. ⠀ It’s a little bit fucked, if you ask me. ⠀ It’s funny, because I got into entrepreneurship so I could express more of who I really am, and do what I really want to do - without being controlled by others. ⠀ The thing is, a lot of entrepreneurs never actually escape the rat race. ⠀ They say they have, but they’re still worried about who made how much money. About the fact that their neighbour bought a better vehicle, and now they need to step up their game. About always increasing their income because if they don’t, they’re a loser. About the fact that Steve’s IG following is growing way faster - and that’s just bullshit. ⠀ They’re still a slave to the race. ⠀ And I’m not about that life. Not one bit. ⠀ I mean, I’m obviously still going to push for progress[duh]. I do want to make more money and help WAY more people than I have. ⠀ CONTINUED BELOW⬇️⬇️⬇️
