Tomorrow I will be heading to Ilulissat in Greenland for a new expedition. I am really excited to be part of the team Arctic Arts Project and join three other incredibly talented photographers to work together. In light of new scientific findings on the effects of climate change in the Arctic, our team will travel to Western Greenland during the Arctic springtime, as several critical elements of change are evident only during this time frame. "OMFG!!! . I honestly shed a few tears today! . Seeing these graceful and beautiful giants, have been a childhood dream for me since I was 7 or 8! ✨ . During two kayak trips, more than one humpback whale, kinda just danced around us for hours, allowing us to watch it surface, breathe and dive numerous times, and getting up really close. . Hearing it breathing, and even kinda mourning, from what seemed like a pleased and full fed happy whale, made me so happy ! . The first book I remember I wished for my birthday, was a collection of all the world's dolphins and whales, and I kept reading it over and over again for months, and are quite sure I still have it today! . All days here in Ilulissat are amazing, and then there are days like today, that are just straight up magical!! . THIS is why I'm here!! I like it when nature reminds us how little we are... This iceberg is the size of a big city, it goes almost two kilometer under the water, will take a few years to melt, and could travel up to Europe... But the most amazing part is that it is about 15.000 years old. Does it make any sense to you guys when I say that I have full respect for this big ice cube ❤️? Have you ever felt respect for things, or places? Or am I the only one trippin’ haha
