Until recently I was terrified to be myself in front of people that weren’t my close friends. I was always stressed wondering “what if they don’t like me” I thought I had to act or look a certain way to be accepted or to be loved. “What supplements should I be taking?” is something I hear a LOT.
A few questions I want you to ask yourself: what did you eat for breakfast this morning? How many calories do you eat in a day? What’s a normal day of your diet look like? Are you sleeping 7-9 hours a night?
Greg Glassman’s motto: Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. That’s a general outline but if you’re diet doesn’t even look slightly close to that, there’s your problem. If you’re eating a ton of processed food, eating out a lot, fast food, and quick packaged foods on the go… supplements aren’t even something you need to be worrying about.
It’s less about the fancy supplements you are taking and MORE about how you are taking care of your body via real food, adequate calories/macros, sleep, hydration, exercise, recovery.
If you have pretty good handle on all or most of those things, cool. Then, AND ONLY THEN, can you consider supplementation. Supplements are the LAST piece of the puzzle. They are used as a supplement to an already solid base.
There’s a ton to choose from. If you’re gonna take it, READ THE LABEL. Know what you are putting into your body. What’s the company known for (quality, pricing, taste, etc)? Look for companies that are known for quality first & foremost. Do your research and buy with quality in mind, not the cheapest brand on the shelf. .
