Beauty on a dark day brought to you by #mymorningcommute. . . Im kinda anti all things Halloween and according to my kids a wet blanket.  I hate the celebration of all the dark and evil.  I didn’t want to do anything today and would prefer just to hole up with my kids and hide for the day and wait for it to pass. No dress up, no trick or treating. (sorry kids!) . . This morning Jesus spoke to my heart and I was reminded that all the evil on display today did not win…it is not the end of the story.  Joy and restoration and hope comes from Jesus and he has conquered and is greater then everything and anything that is in this world!  He brings light to the darkness in this world and so instead of hiding today I will be celebrating! (and jamming to the song “Not Today” by Hillsong United - check it out.) So be encouraged today.  Today for me is not about defeat or evil winning, but instead when I see the gore, the darkness, the ugliness I will be praising Jesus because I will be reminded of all that Jesus conquered!  Today is about victory in Jesus name! . . (and yes I did let my kids dress up, and I will be pumping them full of all kinds of sugar treats… pics to come soon )

What's up fam? Well, this is going to be one of those vulnerable types of post. I have to be honest too and tell you that I didn't want a ministry for women. Lemme explain... . The Surpressed Memories: In high school, girls were not the nicest to me. I wanted DESPERATELY to fit in with the popular girls. They "seemed" to have it all. I was the lone ranger though. The quiet one. . I learned quickly. Guys accepted you often. In hindsight, I now know for all the wrong reasons. Girls rejected you often. You had to be part of a crew or clique or fit a certain mold just to be a part of something. . Fast forward to my forties (I'm 43), and the Lord is speaking to me about helping women. I know that can't be right...I help believers Lord! Lol. The Lord kept sending signs: A vision of a woman sitting in a chair waiting for me. Remberance of the women that i SAW in the Spirit. What I mean is you can walk by one or talk to one and God will reveal pieces of her life or current struggle. The Prophet that was placed in my midst from afar that often referenced Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz. . The ultimate sign! I go up for prayer after church service. I ask the woman for prayer of wisdom because I believe God is calling me to ministry. She goes in prayer and says, "her ministry will bless the women who have gone through what she has been.." SHE STOPS MID PRAYER and says, "no, her ministry will bless women who have been through WORSE than what she has been through!" . Who does that GOD DOES THAT! I wanted to REJECT it. But she CALLED out my DESTINY in a prayer-a prophetic prayer. . What are the signs that God has been SHOWING YOU that you been straight up ignoring? What are you doing to seek God's face for HIS will over your life? Will you honor the LORD in doing what HE called you to do? You have been created for this love! It doesn't have to be ministry either. This is about your gifts and coming in alignment with God's will. Is there a pain, trauma, or hidden memory blocking you from seeing yourself the way GOD sees you? . Don't block your blessings. Deuteronomy 28:2. Join me on FB group @ #ruthandnaominetwork

Especially today when looking at social media has honestly been so heart breaking and frustrating. I see people that I know are loving be so hurtful to others over this election. Don't get me wrong, I am SO grateful for the opportunity to choose our government officials because some don't have that freedom. But, if I'm honest, I have a hard time voting because all I can think of is that my heart and desire truly lies in following JESUS. Yes, voting is good. At the same time, my heart is just reminded over and over that worldly systems may help or hinder me financially or socially, but they will never take power over Jesus' commandment: to love the Lord with everything I've got and love others. #sunsetdrive #jesusconquersall #moreofhimlessofme #mtrainier
