The enemy invites us to use both of those as a doorway into bondage and oppression. I've seen some radical healings (emotional, spiritual, physical) after walking people through forgiveness. When we forgive and fully release the person who wronged us over to God, it is more for us than it is for them. Ask the Holy Spirit today if there is anyone in your life (including yourself) that you need to forgive. Then in faith trust Him and and release them in Jesus name. Believe it or not, but condemning others is not our mission. Unfortunately, Christians have a pretty good track record of condemning sin - particularly those in which we’re not currently participating! But God calls us to embrace the spirit of Jesus. This means that while we are to hate the sin, we are to love the sinner.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This should be of great comfort to ALL sinners (which, by the way, includes ALL of us), because the Gospel clearly states that Christ paid the penalty for our sins. And anyone who confesses and repents of their sins will receive forgiveness and salvation.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now, Christ didn’t die for just for certain “big sins” or “little sins,” as we sometimes like to classify them, but for ALL sins. So don’t worry that your past is too much for the power of the cross. And most importantly, never judge others as being beyond forgiveness. The cross of Jesus is always bigger.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So while Christians must stand firm against sin, we completely fail in our duties if we don’t pair that bold stance with the proclamation that the cross is big enough to cover any sin. Why? Because the cross is really a story of extraordinary love that’s available to all - if we choose to accept it. I know, it’s not easy, I know it hurts. I know you feel like it isn’t a choice, like nothing can save you. Stop. Breathe. Clear your mind for a minute or two. You are loved.
