[4.8/5] Loved the fierce burst of flavours from this Japanese tapas. Try a spoonful of the Kani Miso Kourayaki ($13) without popping the roes for a more authentic crab-ception.
We also loved the effort put into making the dish pretty and almost too good to be eaten. The way the little ingredients (crab meat, crab innards, quail egg, salmon roes, chopped scallions) were meticulously put together and grilled deserved our appreciation. A must-try.

Sweet juicy tender pieces of pork ribs immersed in a steaming bowl of peppery soup - so very comforting, even in Singapore's year round summer heat! @lollieloh

Today we learned that not every vibrantly coloured dish or drink with cool name suits our palates.
We had fond memories of our last dine-in at @zaffronkitchen, Westgate and decided to explore other dishes and drinks at @zaffronbananaleaf this time.
Turned out we should have stuck to our usual orders of skewers, butter chicken and chicken tikka as the main dish in our non-veg set ($12.80) was too spicy for our liking and not all sides and sauces suited our taste buds.
It's definitely worth the try though for folks who hold a higher spice tolerance.
The drinks weren't our cup of tea, but if you're game enough, do also give butter milk ($2) and salt lassi ($5.50) a try and let us know what you think hee.
