Just an update on finding the person ( s ) responsible for shooting Clay multiple times in the face; the Fairburn Police Department has written a case report and it’s going to the investigation division and if the person is found a warrant for the persons arrest will be issued. The Sargeant I spoke with handling the case said to hold off on hiring a private investigator for now and let their investigators work the leads and save the money for the dogs medical bills. He will stay in touch with me and let me know what they find out and if we need to post reward fliers or have the news run a reward flier. I did an update yesterday about the Fairburn Police Department investigating Clay’s case. They were very efficient. However, they located the man and his address where Clay was found bleeding in the garage and the address even though it’s a Fairburn address is operated by the South Fulton Police Department jurisdiction. The Sargeant filed a report that is called an “ Information for Officer “ report that will be turned over to the South Fulton PD. I have to get in contact with the South Fulton PD and give the new investigator the case number. I have not been able to reach anyone at this Department yet, only automated recordings. I’m sure they are busy this holiday weekend.
