KRABI ISLANDS - FULL DAY . Not as popular as James Bond and Phi Phi, but has a great combination of emerald and clear waters to enjoy some snorkeling. Much less famous, but it has an incredibly stunning small archipelago of lime karsts stone islands too. . As I had written in a previous post, my fist real motorbike trip was from Puerto Princessa to El Nido in Philippines. It was one of my best experiences in life, and after that I was certain that it wasnt the last time I would do a trip like that . Fast forward about 1 year and I was now in #ChiangMai the first place I wanted to visit was Pai. This postcard-perfect little town set approximately midway between Mae Hong Son and Chiang Mai is a dream destination for many travellers. Tucked deep in a valley, surrounded by walls of endless mountains, Pai seems to exist in its own time zone. Here, nature is your best friend and, perhaps, chilling out while doing close to nothing is going to be your second best friend . I didnt want to take the usual tourist mini van to get there. So I rented a nice Honda PCX and decided to drive the 135 km trip through the mountains to Pai. . . Driving a motorbike myself allowed me to stop wherever I liked – not just at the sponsored official tourist pit stop where you have to pay to use the restroom! . . The route involved traversing a seriously winding road that snakes up, down and around the undulating mountainous high jungle terrain. But the views you get from these mountains are amazing. I passed several small villages and beautiful rice paddies.
