Albümün kadrosunda vokalist olarak Mike Patton, bas gitarist olarak Billy Gould, baterist olarak Mike Bordin, klavyeci/ritim gitarist olarak Roddy Bottum ve gitarist olarak Trey Spruance bulunmuştur. Bu albüm, Faith No More'un en büyük zorlukları yaşadığı dönemde kaydedilmiştir. Eski gitarist Jim Martin, gruptan atılmıştır ve yeni gitarist arayışından dolayı albümün kayıt süresi uzamıştır. İlk olarak Mike Patton'ın lise arkadaşı olan Mr. Bungle gitaristi Trey Spruance'a karar verilmiştir. Kayıt sürecinde Mike Patton, Trey Spruance ve Mike Bordin ciddi bir trafik kazası geçirir. Kaza esnasında arabayı Mike Patton kullanmıştır ve bu kazadan sonra asla araba kullanmayacağını söylemiştir. Spruance, albüm kaydı bitince turneye katılmak istemeyip gruptan ayrılır. Grubun 1995'te çekilmiş fotoğraflarına dikkat ederseniz çoğunda 4 kişi olduğunu görürsünüz. İşte bu gitarist sıkıntılarından dolayı grubun fotoğraflarında sadece 4 üye vardır. Trey Spruance'tan sonra gruba gitarist olarak Dean Menta alınmıştır ve konserlerde gruba Menta eşlik etmiştir. Sıkıntılar sadece gitarist ile sınırlı değildir. Klavyeci Roddy Bottum, madde bağımlılığıyla mücadele etmektedir. Roddy'nin bağımlılığı, babasının ve yakın arkadaşı Kurt Cobain'in ölümüyle daha da kötüleşir ve kendisi albüme pek katkıda bulunamaz. Bu yüzden şarkılarda fazla klavye ağırlığı yoktur ve Roddy, kliplerde gitar çalarken görülür. Grubu dinlemeye yeni başlayacak kişilere özellikle bu albümü öneriyorum. King for a day fool for a lifetime - Faith no more. Released march 25 1995. . . . Lo mejor que pudo haber pasado es haber escuchado este álbum completo en el maquinaria. Una suerte que se da con pocos grupos. El maquinaria de ese año fue insuperable para mi. Con artistas como Cornell que ya no volveremos a escuchar en vivo y tener el lujo de vibrar con éste álbum por completo fue una belleza. Sin embargo para mi su mejor concierto en Chile fue la gala en el Caupolican. A FNM lo escuché mucho durante mi adolescencia y ahora muy poco. A pesar de eso, sigo amando el estilo irreverente de Mike y su sonido ecléctico que en este disco se despliega conpletamente.
