⚠️SCALING THE HSPU:
*Kipping is not a scale. We teach strict before momentum for safety!The athlete does not have the strength to control the decent & putting undo pressure on their neck & spine.
*Also, before you stack 2 ab mats in full handstand make sure the athlete has full range of motion in a scaled version (box or pike HSPU).

❗️Apply the same rule you would to a squat. You would not have them keep 95# and go to 1/4 squat. You would take OFF weight and have them go to FULL range of motion. Our body is the weight in the HSPU - so scaled the “load” by decreasing lever and go to full range of motion first.
.
*So how can you build strength AND make it fun?
Train parts of the whole:
•Get them into a version of Handstand holds (that’s the FUN part!)
•Then have them work the strength portion, whether its pushups, “bear-crawl” HSPU, box hspu etc…
.
