What a game winning shot by @dwyanewade last night! Truly a vintage performance by The Flash ⚡️

I had the absolute pleasure and honor of putting together a tribute video for my favorite player of all time, @dwyanewade at tonight’s game. for months - I have been planning, thinking, researching on how I wanted this to be done… but how the heck do I sum of the incredible career of one of the top players of ALL time in 50 seconds?! I enlisted the help of our animation guru @saif_dean_amath & one of our production assistants @ryanpmcginley to help create this video/animation. after so much back & forth of how I wanted it to look, I remember telling them both - “this one means a lot to me. so let’s make sure to do something amazing.” I might have also said “he’s my favorite player so please don’t mess it up.” deciding on the track, this one took a minute. but I wanted to have some Chicago love in there, so it had to be a Kanye track. then I registered to the ‘Watch the Throne’ album. When “Lift Off” came on, I knew that was the track. It had to be. It fit perfectly with what I wanted this video to feel like. finally - the biggest thing for me was adding the “from Robbins, IL” @converse commercial line. when that came out, I remember working out and I would replay that scene of him on the mic in my head - imagining myself. I know it sounds funny but it’s crazy where you can find inspiration from. to this day, it’s one of my top three favorite commercials and you can’t convince me otherwise. I hope I was able to do justice highlighting his amazing career that DWade has had on the court. Thank you for showing that a kid from Chicago could make it out of the city and grow up to become not only a famous athlete, but an entrepreneur, a great father & husband while making a name for yourself. Thank you for inspiring to create a career out of something I love to do. Being in the building for @dwyanewade final game was something I’ll never forget. From buying my plane ticket the night before, getting up morning of the game, flying out to NYC. Buying my game ticket right before I got on my flight and catching the game that night. Then spending the next day walking around NYC exploring and hitting spots I’ve always dreamed of going to as a kid, before I flew back home later the same day.
