I’ve had so many messages about this one after putting a pic on my stories of the bloom, so thought I’d post a better pic here and try and answer your questions! . First things first, this is a #ledebouriasocialis otherwise known as #silversquill or #woodhyacinth or #leopardlily . I find this one easy to care for, when I went to take this photo I realised the plant was incredibly dry and this was taking its toll on the leaves which were looking seriously dehydrated. So I’ve given it a good soak with rainwater. . They like bright light and can withstand periods of drought in their natural habitat which is presumably why this one hasn’t given up on me ! . These grow quickly. The bulbs soon cover the surface of the pot (I use a half pot for these) which brings me to propagation, which is by division. . Every year around this time, I will just break of some bulbs and replant then into small pots, they’ve never failed me yet. .
