Sunday-Funday: One of the more important jobs before the #AtlanticCrossing , really the most important job of them all, is replacing the standing rigging onboard Tangaroa. The wires that hold the mast in place. The rigging onboard was still the original from 1991 and had some small but visible marks of exhaustion. So it’s always been a must-do to me before going any further. Not planning to unstep the mast, I had taken each wires measurement and had them custom made by @svb_watersport_equipment and shipped to the Canary Islands. Now replacing one wire at a time, allowing for many trips up and down the mast, while keeping my expenses to the possible minimum. Wishing you a great Sunday! ☀️ #AlohaTangaroa #SailboatRigging #BlueWaveRigging #BoatRefit #BoatWork
Work day aboard Esperanza today, so we can untie from the dock and go hang out on the hock. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This spectacular looking yacht from Halberg Rassy is in tremendously good condition. She has been looked after lovingly by her current owners as can be seen from her condition in the photos.
Grace 7 was sailed from Europe to Australia by a Dutch family and their young children who lived on board for some time during the passage and a third child arrived soon after their arrival to Australia!
With just three owners since her launch in 1980 the yacht was purchased by her current owners in 2012. Since then Grace 7 has undergone an extensive refit including new rigging, new engine and a very impressive list of new and upgraded equipment. The couple have enjoyed cruising the East coast of Australia and took part in the go East rally visiting the Pacific Islands including Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the outer islands.
The essential cruising gear is all here – Echo tech water maker, quad solar panels mounted on the davits, wind generator, excellent power management systems with more than ample battery power – all essentials when cruising offshore. There is even a portable generator. Other ‘must haves’ include AIS send and receive, Foruno radar, Iridium Go for internet on the go, autopilot and even wind vane steering – which the current owners said was extremely reliable throughout their pacific cruising.
The engine was replaced new in 2014 and has only 1128 hours logged. Adding to this very impressive inventory are a full suite of newly upgraded batteries, a new stove, upgraded fridge, upgraded windlass, new Ray marine wind instrument, a current Epirb with current rigging and a new main in 2013 with endless amount of spares.
