⭐️DAILY CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT⭐️
••
Since our #WCW was the amazing human computer Mrs Katherine Johnson, we decided to stick with the space theme by looking at the creative ways that astronauts have to adapt their day to day routines to live in space without gravity.
••
It would be so dope to sit down with an astronaut one day or even the engineers who have created the amazing equipment in the @iss ••
So what do you guys think of this one? Do you think you can survive in outer space ♀️

BEAM, the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module, was pictured installed to the Tranquility module on the International Space Station with an external high definition camera. Expandable habitats greatly decrease the amount of transport volume for future space missions. These “expandables” require minimal payload volume on a rocket, but expand after being deployed in space to potentially provide a comfortable area for astronauts to live and work. They also provide a varying degree of protection from solar and cosmic radiation, space debris, atomic oxygen, ultraviolet radiation and other elements of the space environment.

Working on the International Space Station also means ensuring the maintenance and health of the orbiting platform. Crew members are constantly checking support systems and cleaning filters, updating computer equipment: doing many of the things homeowners must do to ensure their largest investment stays in good shape. Similarly, the Mission Control Center constantly monitors the space station and sends messages each day through voice or email with new instructions or plans to assist the crew members in their daily routines. Three planets and our moon put on a show for astronaut Scott Kelly, who spent a year aboard the International Space Station to conduct research of long-duration space flight.

European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst (@astro_alex_esa) captured this image of our planet's Moon from the International Space Station (@ISS). “By orbiting the Earth almost 16 times per day, the ISS crew travel the distance to the Moon and back – every day,” he said.
The International Space Station is the world's only orbital laboratory. An international partnership of space agencies provides and operates the elements of the station. The principals are the space agencies of the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada.

Looking through some past projects from my mothers UK award winning interior design company @Living_inspace So many beautiful creations !! Here are a few pictures from one of there London 10,000 SqFt condo’s above. I’m so inspired & extremely lucky to have such a wonderfully talented mother & mentor... Here’s to you Mum! @anitakohn5 Living In Space have recently closed there doors after a long 20+ year career
Someone asked me for some stats on this thing, so here we go. So far it's only about 65% complete. Measures 139cm from front to back and weighs almost 15kg. I'm guessing it got around 20.000+ bricks in it so far. It's still missing it's front and middle bridge but It has a full visible interior about halfway done. Gon give y'all another update when it's fully completed. #space #spaceship #spaceships #science #anewearth #colonization #lego #legos #classicspace #terraforming #bricks #smokeandbuild #universe #evolution #theuniverse #moc #instalego #astronomy #livinginspace
