These days, there are so many articles suggesting that we all eat brown rice, brown pasta, brown bread over the white varies. Brown foods are 'good', whilst the white versions are 'totally bad'..

❗️Believe it or not when you feel hunger, you might not actually be hungry.

If you don’t drink coffee, have green tea instead. Caffeine is the key here. Caffeine is a great hunger suppressant.

Another tip!If you still feel hungry after coffee ☕️ have a piece of fruit . Your liver is likely depleted and fruit is a healthy and low calorie way to top up your liver stores!

Take the above steps before eating or snacking. Eating when you’re ACTUALLY hungry (in need of nutrients) is very powerful.

It gives us the sense of control.
To have a healthy relationship❤️ with food, don’t let it control you❗️

There are many factors that cause us to be hungry
⠀
1)You may feel hunger because you are dehydrated. Upon waking up you are very dehydrated, so make sure you drink at least 1 liter of water after waking up.

2)You may feel hunger because you are sleep deprived. Getting adequate sleep (7-9hrs) is so important for your health.
⠀
3)You may feel hunger because you are bored. We sometimes just crave food if we get bored. When you do, find something interesting to do!
⠀
4)Stress is also another factor that causes hunger. Being aware of it and accepting it is a good way to deal with the stress. Just take a second to breathe and think about what to do. Avoid reacting to your emotions. You’re in CONTROL.

✅Try these steps. If after drinking water, having caffeine and even eating a piece of fruit is not enough to suppress your hunger, make sure to eat a nutritious meal!

Carbs are delicious and, personally, I don’t discriminate. But, for one of my clients who struggled with trying to eat “perfectly”, like I used to, carbs made her anxious. She felt like she could only allow herself to eat things that were “healthy” like sweet potatoes and Ezekiel bread. Now, I love those two as much as the next gal♀️, but when you tell yourself that’s ALL you can have your body is going to want to rebel and eat an entire loaf of white bread. Seriously, it’s happened to me! And it was happening to my client, too. She was frustrated that she was craving all of the “bad” carbs, she felt like something was wrong with her. Why did she have ZERO willpower?

During her time in my 1:1 No Food Rules coaching program we redefined what healthy eating looks like. We actually scheduled in times for her to eat things like white bread and refined, buttery crackers. This allowed her to normalize these foods and remove the “bad” label causing her to crave them. Guess what? She found she didn’t even LIKE THEM! It was biology that was causing her to crave them, not a lack of willpower. When she realized this she was able to free herself from the constant thoughts of the carbs she “couldn’t” have and the guilt associated with them. If she wants to have a warm dinner roll when out on date night, she can- and WILL, but she no longer feels the pull to eat the entire basket. THAT, my dears, is what it’s like to live the No Food Rules lifestyle!
