Watched Alien Covenant with some good friends. The movie was all over the place with themes. Started off very sci-fi-ish and the. Ended with some solid horror tropes. It has an amazing cast, but does almost nothing with the majority of it. Also, it's "resolution" of the Shaw character completely ruins Prometheus for me. Her journey and promise of potential answers gave Prometheus potential which is now wasted and gone. I very much enjoyed the aliens themselves, but none of their direct interactions with David. The David story arc is fun if a bit glossed over on motivation. I would have appreciated more explanation of how we got from a to b. #brokenbutbeautiful Recently I watched this webseries by Ekta Kapoor ...Don't get all sassy n runaway this was no SaaS bahu saga.It was something we all have experienced at some point in our life- hopelessly in love, emotional trauma ,pain of losing someone. These are some scars that you wouldn't see when you come across Ur friends. How love gets you so handicapped that it leads you to self destruct the best in you. How losing someone important can just leave you puzzled about your future. How having a bad childhood/being molested or raped / bullied can leave you questioning your own abilities and character Many times we have our friends trying to instill sense in us telling us we will get better but we are to blind to see and accept the reality of moving on. Gradually we do accept it. However we have beaten ourselves up and invested so much of our time in it that it leaves us shattered and broken. if we are lucky we do meet someone who helps us build it all back - the trust,the sanity,the I can be normal. Sometimes if we get luckier we just end up discovering our selves,we build up our self respect,start valuing and investing in ourselves.We stop blaming ourselves for everything gone wrong.We discover that being alone and doing things independently makes us so much more stronger.
